Grad Gala

Live DJ, hors d'oeuvres, specialty mocktails, photobooth stations, games, and more! We will have rooms for a dance floor, food stations, photo booth, and a lounge. We will also have alcoholic beverages available for purchase.

The Grad Gala is open to all U-M graduate and professional students and their guests. Guests may include other U-M students, U-M alumni, and friends/family not affiliated with U-M. Guests must be above the age of 21. Valid IDs will be checked upon entry (both to check age and to check U-M affiliation).

Correct! A portion of each ticket sale will be donated towards the RSG Basic Needs Microgrant Program to provide financial assistance to U-M grad and professional students.

The theme of the 2026 Grad Gala is “Winter Wonderland”.

General admission tickets are $24 for Gala only and $29 for dinner and the Gala. All sales, including sales at the door, are through the Michigan Union Ticket Office’s online store; no cash or credit cards will be accepted at the door.

We have a strict no-refund policy. If you wish to transfer your ticket to another individual, you may do so with the ticket transfer form, found here.

All attendees will need to bring their U-M IDs and government-issued identification. Guests who aren’t U-M students will need to enter at the same time as the U-M student who is hosting them. 

The venue space is accessible to all individuals with various abilities. Additional accommodations can be arranged upon request. If you have any concerns, please contact rsg-gradgala@umich.edu and we will do our best to accommodate. 

We will have dinner available before the Gala and will have vegetarian, vegan, kosher, and halal options. Menus with ingredients will be posted at food stations. If you need more specific information, please reach out.

Yes. Cash bars will be set up, where customers can pay-per-drink with debit or credit card only. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available free of charge. 

No, transportation will not be provided to or from the venue. Attendees are expected to make arrangements regarding transportation. Please be safe and act responsibly.
