Your Rackham Student Government welcomes your input!
RSG has openings in many of its committees and would value any graduate student involvement.
This is a perfect way to make a difference in the lives of all Rackham students, with a minimal time commitment (committees generally meet once every two weeks)
See below for more information about the committees and when they meet. If you find yourself interested, feel free to e-mail the chair of the committee (or any RSG member) or come to the next committee meeting .

RSG’s Student Life committee has two main functions: to address policy issues on all non-academic policies at UM as well as serve as the event planning arm of RSG and plan social events throughout the year. Things to look forward to this summer include a trip to Cedar Point, a volleyball/kickball tournament as well as semi-regular bar nights, all serving as a chance to break out of your normal social circle. We will be having meetings every other Monday evening, and please don’t hesitate to email us at rsg-slc-chair@umich.edu. |
The Legislative Committee serves as RSG’s external advocacy apparatus. Working at the local, state and federal levels, the committee is responsible for gauging and responding to student priorities on diverse issues from housing policy in Ann Arbor to the taxability of fellowships in Washington, DC. The committee meets bi-weekly at 6pm in the Espresso Royale South University location basement over the spring and summer months. Feel free to contact us at rsg-lc-chair@umich.ed |

The Academic Affairs Committee is committed to improving graduate student life by addressing graduate student issues, rights, and responsibilities pertaining to academic growth and development. The Academic Affairs committee meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 6pm. To contact that Academic affairs committee, email rsg-aac-chair@umich.edu . |
This committee facilitates bidirectional communication between RSG and the student body using all mediums including e-mails, social networking, to releasing weekly newsletters. Reach the communications committee by e-mailing rsg-cc-chair@umich.edu or at our bi-weekly meeting, on Wednesdays at 8pm in the basement of Espresso Royale on South University. |
As always if you would like more information, or have questions or problems that you think your RSG can help with, you can visit our website to find representative and executive office hours, or e-mail us at rsg@umich.edu.
